TO King Yan, Adam (杜景仁律師)

Adam, managing partner of K.B. Chau & Co., and is also a China appointed attesting officer and Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

The legal career of Adam commenced as assistant crown counsel with the then Attorney General’s Chambers (now known as the Department of Justice). Then he continued to work in the Government as Crown Counsel (now known as Government Counsel). In 1987 he joinws K.B. Chau & Co. and started to practice in the private sector. Adam has a diverse legal practice, ranging from conveyancing and commercial work including mergers and acquisitions to civil and criminal litigation. He is on the legal aid panel of solicitors for personal injuries and employees’ compensation claims assignment.

 

POON Kwok Fai, Ronald (潘國輝律師)

Ronald, partner of K.B. Chau & Co., was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1980. He is also a Notary Public and Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

In the early years of Ronald’s legal practice, he gained his experience in a major international law firm in Hong Kong and worked his way from associate to partner. He was involved in many large scale conveyancing, commercial and litigation work.

In K.B. Chau & Co., Ronald leads the firm’s busy conveyancing department to undertake both projects for major property developers in Hong Kong and secondary market transactions. At the same time, Ronald continues to act for and advise banks, corporate clients and individual in commercial work and civil litigation.

 

HO Hing Chung, Stephen (何慶聰律師)

Stephen, partner of the Firm, was admitted as a Hong Kong solicitor in 1988. He was also admitted as a Singapore attorney in 1995. Stephen is well versed in civil and criminal cases. He is also a logal adviser to a number of prestigious commercial and social organisations.

 

CHENG Kar Foo, Andrew (鄭家富律師)

Andrew, partner of K.B. Chau & Co., was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1994. He is also a Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

Whilst Andrew is well-known for his public office, he also has a busy litigation (both criminal and civil) practice. He is on the legal aid panel of solicitors for personal injuries, employees’ compensation, medical negligence and contract disuputes assignment, Andrew also acts for a number of insurance companies to undertake defence and recovery work.

 

CHOI Kin, Kenny (蔡堅律師)

Kenny is a partner of K.B. Chau & Co. He has rich experience in commercial litigation and arbitration.

 

CHAN Man Hung (陳文鴻律師)

Mr. Chan is the conveyancing Partner of the Firm and he started his legal practice career in 1985. He has obtained professional qualifications from Newcastle Polytechnics, U.K. and was admitted as a Hong Kong solicitor in 1996. He was the supervisor of the conveyancing department in several law firms and specializes in real estate matters such as land development, property sale and purchase and other property related matters. He is also familiar with finance and commercial matters and is currently a legal adviser to various commercial and social organisations.

 

CHAN Ying Lam, ANGELA (陳映霖律師)

Angela specialises in corporate finance, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and commercial matters. She has participated in various financing and merger and acquisition transactions, including initial public offerings, private equity investments and acquisitions of controlling stakes in listed companies. She also advises on Hong Kong listed companies on compliance with the Hong Kong Listing Rules and the Codes on Taksovers and Mergers and Share Buy-backs.

 

KWONG Ka Ping, Stephen (鄺嘉平律師)

Stephen is a consultant of K.B. Chau & Co. He was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1994

Before commencing his career as a solicitor, Stephen worked as a judicial clerk in the Hong Kong Judiciary. He, thus, has a unique and in-depth understanding of the logistics of the judicial process. Since his admission as a solicitor, Stephen has been acting predominantly for major insurers and public transport companies in personal injuries claims.

In recent years, Stephen has also developed a successful practice in acting for claimants in personal injuries claim. He is on the legal aid panel of solicitors for personal injuries and employees’ compensation assignment.

 

MAK Siu Fan, Fanny (麥少芬律師)

Fanny is a consultant of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1984.

Fanny is also a Notary Public and a mediator (general and family) accredited by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and The Law Society of Hong Kong.

Mediation as a form of alternative dispute resolution has developed rapidly since the implementation of the Civil Justice Reform in the courts of Hong Kong in 2009. Fanny was accredited as family and general mediator since 2000 and 2001 respectively and has conducted mediation cases to help parties in dispute to resolve disputes ever since. From time to time she also helps in coaching in mediation courses.

 

WONG M. H., Stanley (黃文熙律師)

Mr. Wong has about 25 years of experience in legal and compliance industries. He worked in a Hong Kong listed group as the Chief Compliance Officer to oversee all legal and compliance matters during October 2016 - July 2019. Prior to joining the listed group, Mr. Wong worked in a PRC-based investment bank and a US-based investment bank, both as Head of Compliance. Before that, Mr. Wong worked at the Securities and Futures Commission for more than six years, covering different regulatory functions of the securities industry including corporate finance, intermediaries supervision, licensing and intermediaries-related policies. He also served as a personal assistant to Mr. Martin Wheatley, who was the Securities and Futures Commission's CEO during 2006-2011. Mr. Wong received his master’s degree in laws from the University of Hong Kong, and he has been a solicitor of Hong Kong High Court since 2003 and a practicing certified public accountant since 2001.


CHENG Tak Yin, Lydia (鄭德燕律師)

Lydia is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1993. She is also a Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

Lydia commenced her legal career in K.B. Chau & Co. as a trainee, and has been with the firm ever since. She has a general legal practice covering conveyancing, commercial and civil litigation.

 

WONG Man Shuen, Ann (黃文璇律師)

Ann is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 2001. She is also a Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

Ann commenced her legal career in K.B. Chau & Co. as a trainee, and has been with the firm ever since. She has a general legal practice, with an emphasis on conveyancing work.

 

LEUNG Yan Yee, Hester (梁殷而律師)

Hester is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 2008.

Hester joined K.B. Chau & Co. after completing her traineeship. She assists the firm in both conveyancing (project and secondary market) work and civil litigation.

 

TSUI Wai Hay, Alex (徐偉熙律師)

Alex is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. He was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1998.

Alex had started to work in the legal field well before his admission as a solicitor. Therefore, he has gained experience in legal work at different levels and in different areas. In our firm, Alex has a mixed practice of conveyancing, probate, civil and criminal litigation.
