TO King Yan, Adam (杜景仁律師)

Adam, managing partner of K.B. Chau & Co., was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1986.

Adam is also a China appointed attesting officer and Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

The legal career of Adam commenced in the form of traineeship as assistant crown counsel (now known as legal trainee) with the then Attorney General’s Chambers (now known as the Department of Justice). Then he continued to work in the Government as Crown Counsel (now known as Government Counsel). In 1987 he started to practice in the private sector. Adam has a diverse legal practice, ranging from conveyancing and commercial work to civil and criminal litigation. He is on the legal aid panel of solicitors for personal injuries and employees’ compensation claims assignment.

 

POON Kwok Fai, Ronald (潘國輝律師)

Ronald, partner of K.B. Chau & Co., was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1980. He is also a Notary Public and Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

In the early years of Ronald’s legal practice, he gained his experience in a major international law firm in Hong Kong and worked his way from associate to partner. He was involved in many large scale conveyancing, commercial and litigation work.

In K.B. Chau & Co., Ronald leads the firm’s busy conveyancing department to undertake both projects for major property developers in Hong Kong and secondary market transactions. At the same time, Ronald continues to act for and advise banks, corporate clients and individual in commercial work and civil litigation.

 

CHENG Kar Foo, Andrew (鄭家富律師)

Andrew, partner of K.B. Chau & Co., was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1994. He is also a Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

Whilst Andrew is well-known for his public office, he also has a busy litigation (both criminal and civil) practice. He is on the legal aid panel of solicitors for personal injuries, employees’ compensation, medical negligence and contract disuputes assignment, Andrew also acts for a number of insurance companies to undertake defence and recovery work.

 

CHEUNG Kwai Nang, Anthony (張貴能律師)

Anthony is a partner of K.B. Chau & Co. He was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1999, and is also a Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

Anthony is a shrewd civil and criminal litigator. He acts for a number of insurance companies to undertake recovery work and defence of personal injuries claims. Besides, he also has vast experience in commercial, probate and intellectual property (contentious and non-contentious).

 

KWONG Ka Ping, Stephen (鄺嘉平律師)

Stephen is a consultant of K.B. Chau & Co. He was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1994

Before commencing his career as a solicitor, Stephen worked as a judicial clerk in the Hong Kong Judiciary. He, thus, has a unique and in-depth understanding of the logistics of the judicial process. Since his admission as a solicitor, Stephen has been acting predominantly for major insurers and public transport companies in personal injuries claims.

In recent years, Stephen has also developed a successful practice in acting for claimants in personal injuries claim. He is on the legal aid panel of solicitors for personal injuries and employees’ compensation assignment.

 

LEUNG Chong Shing, Dennis (梁創成律師)

Dennis, consultant of K.B. Chau & Co., is admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1994. He is also a mediator (general) accredited by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre.

Dennis’ major area of practice is personal injuries and medical negligence litigation. He was a legal aid counsel of the PI litigation team of the Legal Aid Department from 1996 to 2001. Dennis re-joined the private sector in 2001 and started to diversify his practice into other civil litigation work, advising and acting for individuals and corporate clients.

Dennis is on the legal aid panel of solicitors for personal injuries, employees’ compensation and medical negligence claims.

 

LAI Wing Kwan, Ted (賴榮焜律師)

Ted is a consultant of K.B. Chau & Co. He was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1988.

Like many experienced solicitor, Ted commenced his legal career in a major law firm, where he gained exposure to complex and large scale legal work. He developed his practice with an emphasis on banking, commercial, conveyancing and shipping work.

 

MAK Siu Fan, Fanny (麥少芬律師)

Fanny is a consultant of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1984.

Fanny is also a Notary Public and a mediator (general and family) accredited by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and The Law Society of Hong Kong.

Mediation as a form of alternative dispute resolution has developed rapidly since the implementation of the Civil Justice Reform in the courts of Hong Kong in 2009. Fanny was accredited as family and general mediator since 2000 and 2001 respectively and has conducted mediation cases to help parties in dispute to resolve disputes ever since. From time to time she also helps in coaching in mediation courses.


CHENG Tak Yin, Lydia (鄭德燕律師)

Lydia is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1993. She is also a Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

Lydia commenced her legal career in K.B. Chau & Co. as a trainee, and has been with the firm ever since. She has a general legal practice covering conveyancing, commercial and civil litigation.

 

TANG Ho Yan, Betty (鄧浩茵律師)

Betty is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 2001.

Betty joined K.B. Chau & Co. after completing her traineeship. She has a general legal practice with an emphasis on insurance and personal injuries litigation. Further, Betty has also acted for clients in SFC investigations and market misconduct inquiry.

 

WONG Man Shuen, Ann (黃文璇律師)

Ann is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 2001. She is also a Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

Ann commenced her legal career in K.B. Chau & Co. as a trainee, and has been with the firm ever since. She has a general legal practice, with an emphasis on conveyancing work.

 

LEUNG Yan Yee, Hester (梁殷而律師)

Hester is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 2008.

Hester joined K.B. Chau & Co. after completing her traineeship. She assists the firm in both conveyancing (project and secondary market) work and civil litigation.

 

TSUI Wai Hay, Alex (徐偉熙律師)

Alex is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. He was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 1998.

Alex had started to work in the legal field well before his admission as a solicitor. Therefore, he has gained experience in legal work at different levels and in different areas. In our firm, Alex has a mixed practice of conveyancing, probate, civil and criminal litigation.

 

CHAN Wai Man, Jodie (陳慧雯律師)

Jodie is an associate of K.B. Chau & Co. She was admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR in 2008.

Jodie’s major practice in our firm is personal injuries and insurance litigation. She acts for both injured persons and insurers.
